It is the day before the anniversary of the 9/11 attack. The terrorism is working: I'm terrified. Yesterday a female TV announcer blithely said something like: "The report indicates that Al Quaeda will most likely attack the U.S. within the next few days. And now the weather."

I don't watch television news on a regular basis. I find it insulting and horrifying. The NYTimes.com is pretty good, but it's really just a website, after all. Today NYTIMES.com front page is dominated by a big picture of Jenna Jameson. To the left of her Marylin-esque image is another article, headline: "Falling Bodies, a 9/11 Image Etched in Pain".



Is this what they mean by "Info Porn"?

There's a reason I prefer to watch TVLand - I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, Green Acres, Bonanza. There's the world as it should be - real simple like.
