This website is intended to provide information about my personal projects and hobbies, which include performing and recording music, fiddling with electronics, wrenching on vintage muscle cars, writing, art & design, and daydreaming about cool new technology like robots and human-computer interfaces. I hope the site will be of use to folks with similar interests and an inspiration to anyone who visits. Older parts of this site have not been updated since 1999 or so, other parts are brand-new. I'm currently in the process of replacing old-style all-gif pages with new ones like this. The site was originally built entirely with a 30-day evaluation copy of Fireworks. Eight years later I still use Fireworks all the time for image editing, but generally hand-code my web pages or use Dreamweaver. When I built this site I used an image by the hot rod artist Coop as my main page to experiment with the then-groundbreaking Fireworks' remote rollover feature (e.g. when you hover over the menu items, related images appear elsewhere in the page, in this case within the hub of the hotrod wheel). I'm hoping it's okay to continue using it since this is a personal site and hopefully I won't get sued or anything. Enjoy the site and remember: When in doubt, just begin! |
