2008-2009 – Drupal Development: Designed and implemented an online image repository for a special book collection. Project included designing and theming the site, module configuration, integration of 3rd-party tools (Zoomify), content migration and content creation.  Goes live ~ 4/15/09

 

á       Zipcar
2008 – ACS/tcl programming: Coded web pages for the new Zipcar.com website (www.zipcar.com) using internally-developed TCL/Ars Digita /CSS framework. Built approximately 60 pages in CSS.  Worked closely with Design team to develop assets and refine layout.

2008 – Drupal/php programming: Wrote a set of custom Drupal modules to extend the functionality of the Organic Groups module.

2007/2008 - Project Management: Managed a development project for a group of telecommuting Drupal programmers via web, voice, document-sharing and e-mail, for a major corporate client.

 

á      American Contract Services 2004/2005
 On-site consulting services: Made modifications and upgrades to php and PERL applications against an mSQL database. Analyzed and documented existing systems, made recommendations for future web strategies, provided step-by-step instructions for data conversions.

Provided on-line support and fee-based phone support to JRun and ColdFusion developers. Reproduced configurations and scenarios. Managed a team of web developers to produce a music-CD retail site with fresh daily content. Redesigned the siteÕs layout and interface, managed site assets, updated content, optimized graphics and code. Wrote and edited music reviews, artist bios. Involved in market strategy as well as development of the siteÕs look and editorial style.

 

Turning Point Software - Newton, MA

QA Project Lead / Principal QA Engineer - 1995 - 1998

Managed a 6-member QA team for Windows development projects lasting from 1 week to 1.5 years. Wrote QA client proposals and in-depth Test Plans. Developed and documented QA terms, procedures, and methods. Helped implement Unit Testing and code instrumentation in the development group. Led automated testing effort, evaluated and purchased testing tools. Conceived and contributed to the design and implementation of a QA Test Lab.

 

Independent Software Consultant – Boston Area – 1984 - 1994

I began my computer career as a freelance consultant and programmer providing custom software and hardware solutions to PC and Mac users.  Tools included FoxBase/dBase, RBase, dbXL, Quicksilver, Procomm+, Lotus 1-2-3 macros, 3Com and Novell network hardware and software, PC and Mac hardware, UNIX systems, network wiring and configuration. Programming projects ranged from multi-user banking software to back-end retail mark-down applications, library systems, application migration, data migration, reporting and analysis.  Clients included Manufacturers Hanover (Boston & Hong Kong), Fidelity Capitol Group, as well as various small businesses.  Details available upon request.
